It's a Splash... Swimming with Evergreen Summer

Every week our campers board the bus for the 7 minute drive to the Connecticut Belair Swim and Tennis Club for pool day. Nothing is better on a hot Maryland summer day than swimming ans splashing with friends.

Spring Festival 2017

Few events capture the essence of Evergreen like Spring Festival. Thanks to our families, parents’ association (ESPA), teachers and children for making Saturday such a success.  In addition to the wonderful musical performances led by Ms.Garry, the whole event reflected what makes Evergreen wonderful– the relaxed, joyful feel of the community was tangible. It wouldn’t be that way without everyone’s skill, dedication, support and teamwork.

Under the Sea Party

This is the preeminent adult-only social event of the year.  It is a fun time to meet other Evergreen parents, eat, drink, dance and have fun while supporting our children. Please consider donating tickets to plays and sporting events, gift certificates to restaurants and stores, and sharing your talents such as knitting and gardening.

Learning Through the Senses

How can any one paint who cannot grade colors? How can any one write poetry who has not learnt to hear and see? These questions, posed by Maria Montessori in 1920, remind us that it’s the information that we take in through our senses that becomes the knowledge and skills that expand our minds. All learning is rooted in sensorial experience.
