The Extended Day program provides year-round care and learning for our students. Teachers and professionals of the Evergreen School faculty staff all of the following programs:
For families who require an early start. We engage in a variety of activities, such as reading, drawing, crafts and puzzles. Class size is small. Early Bird eases children’s transition into the classroom program.
Extended Day (3:00 pm to 6:00 pm)
The Extended Day program carries the Montessori principles beyond the end of the academic school day. The schedule is paced to include outdoor play, arts and crafts, story time, baking, creative games, and projects. As the day winds down, children enjoy quiet story times, tabletop games, and more.
Enrichment programs are offered during the Extended Day time frame. These classes are a vehicle through which students can work with staff members or professionals from outside the Evergreen community who have a particular enthusiasm and skill in a specific area of study.
We provide care for children during portions of the holiday breaks. The program’s main focus is play-based fun. The Holiday Care teaching staff supervises the children in well planned, activities, festive projects and games.
