Campaign for Pine Cone Park

Outdoor play is essential for children’s social, emotional and physical development.

Since adopting the Strategic Plan in 2018, our Board of Trustees and Administration have been developing plans for a comprehensive playground renovation. Evergreen has worked with Lauren Wheeler at Natural Resource Design to envision a play space that reflects the values and priorities of Evergreen: adventurous, natural, creative, safe and sustainable.

Funds raised through “The Campaign for Pine Cone Park” directly support our new outdoor playspace, and in doing so, will strengthened Evergreen's reputation as one of the premier Montessori schools in the DC region; with first rate facilities, faculty and Montessori programs.

It is now time to build Pine Cone Park, an outdoor space that Evergreen children will enjoy for years to come.

The construction cost will be $250,000.  Our goal is to raise half of the cost through the Campaign for Pine Cone Park. Please consider a gift that will make a huge difference for our children today. Pledges can be made over a five year period.

Evergreen is a non- profit 501(c)(3) corporation; no one benefits from gifts except for our students and programs.  And you are able to claim the year-end tax deduction.

Please contact John DeMarchi, Head of School to discuss giving opportunities.Additionally, you can simply complete the PDF iconPine Cone Park Donation Form.pdf and return to Evegreen School.

The Time is Now: The Case for Giving to Pine Cone Park

We believe that outdoor play is essential for children’s social, emotional and physical development. Evergreen students need a safe and welcoming playspace that provides opportunities for creative play, exploration, sports, games and more.

Is the Campaign for Pine Cone Park different than the For'Ever Fund?

The For’Ever Fund is Evergreen’s annual giving campaign to support the school’s current programs and operations. Evergreen relies on annual giving to enhance our academic offerings, support our teachers’ professional development, maintain our commitment to financial aid and support green initiatives. Gifts are unrestricted and go to the operating budget to help where they are most needed. As Evergreen School is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by tax laws.

The Campaing for Pine Cone Park is a limited-time special fundraising drive specifically designed to raise resources to complete our playground construction project,
