Teacher Spotlight: Felicia Hatziyannis, Elementary Co-lead Teacher
Felicia Hatziyannis, Elementary Lead Teacher
This is my 28th year working at Evergreen. All of my children graduated from from the Evergreen elementary program. My son Alex is an freshman at Good Counsel High School in Olney. My daughters attend St. Patrick's School in Rockville.
I was born in Baltimore and have lived my whole life in Montgomery County.
I knew in high school after working many Montgomery County summer camps that wanted to be a teacher and work in education.
My favorite things about Evergreen are how the staff and families are very supportive, and I love how each child is important.
I love my family. My mother is from Italy, I love pasta. My father is German and Irish and I look more like him. I am one of five children. There are five of us in my immediate family and I can’t believe my oldest son and daughter are now taller than me!
I like to garden, read, play softball and basketball, dance, and watch a good show or movie. And I like to scuba dive.
