Fiola Van Der Meer, Art Teacher & Spruce Room Assistant 
 

I grew up in the Netherlands, in a little town called Wateringen. Wateringen is very close to The Hague, Delft and the North Sea.
 
From very early on, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I always helped my teachers after school and played school with my younger sister.
 
I really like working at Evergreen. I felt at home, the moment I stepped through the door for a tour. The small class sizes, the friendly families and how the staff supports each other makes Evergreen school feels like family.
 
I’m married to Richard and we have 3 teenagers. My son Finn will start at Boston University next Fall and my daughters Iris and Lily are in high school and middle school.
 
My hobbies are traveling to new countries, visiting museums and art shows, going out for dinner with friends and spending time at home with my family.
 
My favorite animals are meerkats!
