A Spectacular Evening
by John DeMarchi
It’s no secret that I loved the auction. Each element, large and small–
- Class projects & baskets
- Decorations & sculpture (giant mushrooms, ghosts & more)
- Item donations, collections & acknowledgements
- Food, beverages & service
- Set up, staging, music & lighting
- Live auction & auctioneer
- Catalogs, graphic design & printing
- Auction management & data entry
- Entertainment (jugglers & fire dancers)
- Booth-o-Rama & Photography
- Publicity, ticket sales & marketing
- Check-in, check-out, cashier and accounting
- Cleanup
–came together flawlessly. And none of it could have been possible with the dedicated leadership and vision of co-chairs Kim Cantor and Cori Lathan, decoration chair Donna Kerr, their steering committee, their spouses and countless volunteers. I am indebted to them for this unforgettable event.
With astounding teamwork, we raised over $16,000 to support our students and classrooms. And we are able to upgrade our bus with 5-point safety belts. More importantly, we shared a night of fun and friendship for the greatest cause of all: our children’s education.
All I can say is spectacular!
Sincerely,
